Paul’s multi-plate colour etchings are images which are a response to the atmospheric qualities of the English landscape, particularly the Lake District. He was born in Bristol in 1944 and studied at the West of England College and The Royal College 1965 to 1968. He lectured part-time at Hornsey College of Art and Maidstone College of Art 1968 to 1973, followed by a full-time post at the University of Northumbria 1973 to 1997. Paul is now a full-time artist
and has exhibited widely in this country and abroad. He has works in
private and public collections including
the British Council, Cumbria County Council, Hatfield College in Durham,
